Graham from Aeroglen.co.uk recently placed this video on Youtube for the Trust’s property showing the Hall and the Gardens on the Estate. Graham is an experienced helicopter pilot now operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV’s) and also a volunteer guide at the Hall. The video appreciates the stunning countryside in the local area typical of Aberdeenshire. You will also see many of the important features of the Gardens and Estate open to the public year round e.g. the newly completed Rockery.
The 1930’s aerial Ministry photo (below) displayed on the dust cover of the family book and also shown again on the final pages of the book provides a comparison to the present and glimpse into the past while the home was still with the family. The Hall remains the same on the outside and inside with its features of an old tower house and later additions in the style of a French baronial mansion blending into the country side and surrounding hills.
